Call for papers

II INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS ON BUSINESS-JUDICIAL SCIENCES
The Social Responsibility of Companies
November 24th and 25th, 2010

The Department of Judicial Sciences of the School of Technology and Management of the Leiria Polytechnic Institute organises, every year, an event dedicated to present-day issues in the business-judicial field.

It was agreed that, for this year, the topic to be elected would be “The Social Responsibility of Companies”.

The organisation would like to count on all those whose experience and investigation may contribute for the discussion and development of this theme.
To this effect, the interested parties must submit for the assessment of the Scientific Committee of the Congress one or more summaries in the following areas:

-Recruitment policies;
-Conciliation of family life with professional life;
-Hygiene and safety at the workplace;
-Environmental responsibility;
-Relationships with the community;
-Portuguese Standard NP 4469;
-Portuguese Standard 4460;
-ISSO 26000;
-Sustainable development and social responsibility;
-Social responsibility and company competitiveness;
-Social responsibility plans and programs;
-Social responsibility and social economy;
-Social accounting;
-Social responsibility and consumption;
-Social responsibility and public policies.

The corresponding summaries must have a maximum length of 1 A4 page, Times New Roman and size 12 font, 1.5 spacing and they must be sent at the latest up to 31/05/2010 to the email cicje@ipleiria.pt.
Notwithstanding the official language of the Congress is Portuguese, summaries in English and Spanish shall be accepted.

The selected speakers shall be contacted up to 31/07/2010 and the list of the same shall be published in the Congress webpage, after which they must proceed with their registration at www.cicje.ipleiria.pt and payment on the dates referred there.

The speakers must send the final version of their work up to 15/09/2010 for a possible publication in the Congress proceedings.
